Did the Dinosaurs Die Out of an Influenza-Like Flu Pandemic?

Recently, there was a study that seemed to indicate that it is possible that Tyrannosaurus Rex had throat and esophagus problems from a parasitical source, which if true may have opened it up to a favorable condition to easily contract an influenza-type virus mutation. Why you ask? Well, with the throat exposed and raw from sores or lesions, it would have been extremely easy for the virus to wreak havoc.
