Several car rental firms utilize promotional discounts and coupons as tools to increase customers. The use of these methods has help develop an Internet subculture where travel websites explain how to use the discounts and coupons to reduce the cost of rental cars to travelers.

Most organizations of over 100 individuals can qualify for some sort of discount. These discount programs are available to all classes of businesses including government organizations and non-profit groups. You may be able to negotiate added perks if you use some of the bigger organizations. Make sure you use the proper credentials in order to receive your discounts. Discounts are available to anyone who is a member of Costco or Sam's Club, Citibank credit card holders and people who are insured with GEICO.
