Do You Work Through the Christmas Holidays?

By Lance W.

The other day, it was the night before Christmas and my keyboard was clicking away at warp speed, with me at the controls, I was headed for Galactic Space, light years ahead of the pack. The last Christmas Holiday, I worked straight thru also, yet this time someone asked me why I was doing it. Last year I was working to become the most prolific online article writer in the history of mankind, this year they did not understand, because I already had won that game.

Well, everyone has goals and some of us happen to be more driven than others. I set up a list of goals for 2008 and while making them, I thought to myself, why should I wait until 2008 to start, these goals were important to me, so I started right then. Why you ask? Well, to Insure You Start the New Year at a Full Clip and strong pace right out of the gate?

For me, I like to actually accomplish my goals without making excuses for underwhelming performance and because of that intense focus, I generally complete my goals way ahead of schedule and out perform even my own best predictions. In a way, I have begun to expect it and therefore, constantly am working at a higher level. So, some say, why do you work thru the holidays? I ask them why they don't.

Indeed, I still do the family get-to-gethers every so often, not lacking there, but in the end I point to the score board for my proof, you see, my way works. Those that complain that I am not taking time off are just bummed that I have once again left them in the dust. Well, at least they have something to eat then, because at this speed I leave plenty of dust to eat. Something to contemplate in 2008.

My name is Lance Winslow and I am a semi-retired entrepreneur, retired Franchisor and now I am a consultant brain-4-hire, internet writer and author. I got bored in retirement so I founded the Online Think Tank - http://www.worldthinktank.net . If you would like to send me an email just to say hi, discuss an article, send me hate mail or need some advice you can find me at; http://www.carwashguys.com/history/founder.html . Have a great day and thanks for reading - tell me about you?
