Don't Let Your Networking Marketing Business Consume You Especially If You Do It Part Time

Even though you are a Network Marketer, you still need to have a life to lead outside your business.

I was consulting a new downline member the other day, and he told me he comes home from his corporate job at around 4:30pm, and immediately goes to work on his network marketing business. He works at it late each night. He told me he spends most of his Saturday and Sunday time working on his business as well.

This was a little disturbing to me. He was getting burned out in his mlm business and he needed a break. I recommended to him that he take one day off during the week. The same goes for many network marketers, especially the ones that work their business part time.

In my instance, I still have family members that demand my attention. When my six year old son comes home from school, he wants to play, color, and do many other activities which I enjoy being a part of. So I step away and spend time with him. The same goes for my wife. I still need to uphold my other obligations and responsibilities.

If you let your mlm business consume you, and you are having very little success, then step away. Otherwise, you will get burned out. Individuals burnt out on network marketing coupled with very little to no success will lead to quitting the business.

Network Marketing is not about clock time. It is about action time. This business is run in short little increments. Make a five minute phone call. Send an email out. Mail a cd, magazine, or a product sample. Each action in network marketing takes just a few minutes. As long as you meet your daily goals, then move on.

It is important to set small little daily goals such as calling two new prospects, and follow up with two existing prospects. Daily goals lead to weekly goals which lead to monthly goals which lead to quarterly goals, etc. You get the picture. So step away from the business before it starts feeling like a job.
